Desolation Wilderness, Lake Tahoe

My coworker, Rowan, and I went backpacking in the Desolation Wilderness outside of South Lake Tahoe a couple of weeks ago. It was a spur of the moment trip and it turned out to be quite the hike. Really hard. There was a lot of haze from the forest fires nearby, but after climbing from the trailhead, we got above most of it. Pretty awesome scenery. Definitely recommended.

Wow. I’m managing about 1 update per year. Hah!
